African national arrested for trafficking 15 domestic workers from his country

The Research and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of the Interior in the General Directorate of Passports arrested an African national for trafficking in women workers of his own nationality and for having employed and lodged them in the region of Salata.
In a statement, the interior ministry said that, based on information on trafficking and accommodation of domestic workers, the ministry set up a task force in coordination with the relevant security services. After obtaining the necessary permits, the accused was arrested in flagrante delicto with 15 domestic workers accommodated in a house rented for this purpose in the district of Salata.

During questioning, the accused confessed to the crime and explained how he lured domestic workers with special offers to work in private homes.
The accused have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal proceedings in this regard.
Relevant Interior Ministry authorities urged the public to refrain from dealing with fugitive workers in order to avoid legal liability or exposure to various crimes.
