Liloan obtains the “seal of sound financial management”; Frasco dedicates an award to government workers who died during the pandemic

Liloan, Mayor of Cebu, Christina Garcia Frasco, dedicated the award received by her municipality to her fellow public servants who perished during the COVID-19 pandemic in service to the people.

In a social media post on Monday, Frasco revealed that the Municipality of Liloan had received the Financial Stewardship Seal from the Department of Home Affairs and Local Government (DILG).

“I dedicate this to our fellow public servants who have perished during the pandemic serving the people,” Frasco said.

Frasco, spokesperson for Vice President-elect Sara Duterte and incoming Secretary of Tourism, said the DILG award is an affirmation of financial transparency and the institution of public reporting on local government budget and spending. Liloan.

“From the pandemic to Super Typhoon Odette, our LGU faced crisis after crisis as we were tested how effectively we could lift our people out of these extreme hardships,” Frasco said in a social media post.

She said the DILG seal is the fourth for the municipality.

Frasco also mentioned that his municipality received an unqualified opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) for the fourth time.

“(This) is an affirmation of our good governance efforts, as well as the sacrifice and hard work of our team.

Frasco also said she was “grateful for the overwhelmingly positive recent election results which were the people’s verdict on our performance.”
